Hi!
Today I'll be sharing some products that do not get the love, attention, or respect they deserve and make me internally scream "Why Isn't Anyone Talking About This?!" despite how amazing they are for the price.
First up is...
The Essence 3D Dewy Look Stick is a face gloss in a tube that will impart your cheeks with the 'wettest' glow imaginable. I know some will ask "Isn't that just vaseline?" well, yeah but it's in a stick! It's brilliant. That aside its formula is much more elegant than any old tub of vaseline- it's enriched with shea butter, feels very light, isn't sticky and leaves no greasy feeling or residue on your face. In true face gloss fashion it never dries down which I don't mind but to prevent it from moving everywhere or lifting my foundation during application I rub a little on my finger first then gently tap onto my cheeks for that sweaty shine. It is even more gorgeous layered atop highlighters or blush and can even be used as an eye gloss.

H&M Powder Blusher in Spicy Pepper, £8.99
H&M makeup is confusingly underrated, these days I only venture into the store to ogle at the makeup section. They make a lot of really high-quality makeup but a standout for me is the blush in Spicy Pepper. It’s an orange-red with a slightly golden sheen that is perfect for darker skin tones.![]() |

Not only is this amazing for being deep enough to contour darker skin tones like mine it also has an amazing formula. The contour is pigmented yet blendable and the matte highlight shade gives soft focus effect to the under eyes. It is so disappointing that this is one of the few (maybe two?!) dedicated powder contour products for dark skin. Hope brands do better in 2019.

Every time I step into Primark (a lot) and I see this I always buy a backup because I’m anxious they could discontinue this at any moment. This is my favourite brow pencil ever it comes with a triangular tipped pencil (like Anastasia’s Brow Definer), a brow powder I hardly use and a spoolie. The pencil isn’t too soft and too pigmented or too hard and too light, it’s a perfect balance that makes it hard to create harsh brows. I personally love my brows to be an ashy, soft black/grey colour and the shade Tabacco is just that.

The promotional pictures did absolutely no justice to how beautiful these are. as the name suggests this can be used both as a liner and when blended out. The shade Cool AF reminds of something Pat McGrath could make because of how intense and glittery it is.

I don’t know why no one talks about these! The Pro Supreme shadows are Revolution's best eyeshadow formula to date. I own the Allure and Intoxicate palettes, the shades are buttery soft (maybe to a fault because they are quite fallout-y), the mattes are pigmented and the shimmers are all stunning. They’re also cute and pocket-sized so easy to travel with. I wish brands came out with smaller palettes more often and I would love for Revolution to come out with new colour stories in this formula.

I love a moisturising lipstick and bonus points if it tastes as good as this one does. I bought this in the shade 12 Behind the Scenes completely on a whim and it happened to be a perfect pinky-mauvey nude. I also have the shade 05 Spicy Latte which is a warm brown nude.

This is another really moisturizing and almost glossy formula like the Essence but more pigmented. Uh Hullo is warm brown that actually looks like a warm brown and not red and not 'foundation lips' on dark skin. Unfortunately, I think INC.redible regular lip products are being phased out and replaced with what I can only describe makeup that people who wear face glitter and 'boxer braids' to festivals would love and theres nothing wrtong with that I just hope this doesnt get discontinued.

This is the most well done, thoughtful budget skincare collaboration ever. The ingredients are clean and effective, it’s a range of 20 products you can mix and match based on your skin needs not your skin type and the price range is £3-£5. I don’t know what the world did to deserve this and I really do not know why more people don’t talk about it. I bought quite a few bits from the collection but my standouts are the Sleep Spa Overnight Lip Mask, Pore Blemish Rescue Stickers, and Maximum Moisture Supreme Sheet Mask. I use the lip mask as a lip balm, because yes my lips are really that dry, and it totally transforms them. It has a thick balmy consistency with a slight rosy tint and a glossy finish. The Moisture Supreme Sheet Mask simply is the best sheet mask I’ve ever tried so much so that I’ve been too scared to use my last one before I buy any backups. My skin has never felt softer or looked more glowy.
This has completely changed my foundation game this winter. My skin has been something out of horror film lately- dry, grey and irritated but when I put this under foundation this gives me that glow and joie de vivre I lost when it started getting dark at 4PM. It's a really thin oil so it neither feels greasy nor does it feel intensely hydrating.
People don’t put enough respect on this concealer. I always hear people say it’s light coverage and that is so far from the truth, the Fit Me concealer is a true medium coverage concealer with a natural finish. I love this so much. It took me forever to realize matte concealers do nothing for my dry skin and fine lines but I’m glad I saw the light. I use the new shade Cocoa which is a warm deep shade.

The Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation it seemed like my perfect foundation- natural, medium coverage, hydrating but as all good things are it wasn’t sold in the UK so I forced myself to forget about it. Then I heard Max Factor and CoverGirl are sister brands that often have the same/similar products with different names. So I scurried off to Max Factors website and found the Healthy Skin Harmony, they have similar ingredients claims, the same shade range and even the same shade names. It’s a great everyday foundation thst makes my dull skin radiant. The shade range is awful but the shade Soft Sable is a realistic shade for dark skin tones- not too warm or golden and definitely not orange.
