NUDE REVIEWED #1: H&M Cream Lipstick in So Cocoa

H&M So Cocoa Review swatches dark skin nude lipstick beauty

Nude Reviewed is a series where I'll be trying affordable nude lip options for darker skin tones.

Our first contestant is the H&M Cream Lipstick in So Cocoa

So Cocoa is a gorgeous plummy brown- it had stronger purple undertones than I expected but makes a quite unique and flattering colour for darker skin. It's a creamy thick formula that glides with ease onto the lips but as you can expect it's thickness makes the formula one you can definitely feel on the lips.
H&M claims this formula offers medium coverage and it really does, my lips were completely covered with just two coats applied.

Despite its creaminess, I didn't find this exceptionally hydrating. While nowhere near dry I recall wearing this on a particularly scale-y lips day and upon application, my lips beneath remained at the same level of dryness.
So Cocoa lasts about 4-6 hours on me. Typical to cream lipsticks H&M makes no claims to having eternal lasting power and being apocalypse-proof.   Be warned that this lipstick will transfer and cannot withstand an oily meal but this is no problem if you don’t mind reapplication throughout the day.

Just for the colour I'd recommend every dark-skinned person to own So Cocoa, I just wish it was a bit more hydrating. H&M Cream Lipstick in So Cocoa is £8.99 and is available purchase online and in H&M stores.
